Great for any water based activity
I ordered this camera case for our recent White Water Rafting vacation and it worked perfectly. I was very impressed with the seal on this case…
Received the case promptly and functioned perfectly right out of the box. Make sure you READ AND FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS, including how to lube up the gasket with provided silicone grease. There is an optional weight that can be attached. While it’s probably a good idea to buy and use this, it’s not absolutely necessary, but the camera/case will float when under water.
The only small caveat is that you can’t change the SCN mode while in the case (no way to use the wheel) so make sure you set it on “underwater” before you place it in the case.

Great Underwater Camera case
This case is made by Canon and preforms up to their standards. It comes with instructions and fit my camera perfectly. The pictures it took were incredible!!!!
I bought this case for a whitewater rafting trip i was going on. The pictures are amazingly clear and the sturdy case gave me alot of confidence that nothing would hurt the camera. It was great outside the water and even under water the many times i got ejected out of the raft. The video was super high quality and the sound was still pretty clear through the case. I ended up going on another rafting trip the week after and used it again. It also works great in the hot tub.
I’ve seen the camera “bags”, but this is a sturdy case with a neck strap, which made me feel alot more confident that my camera was safe.
I highly recommend this case if you will be enjoying any activities where you’re gonna get wet but still want high quality pictures.

Love It
This case is 100% waterproof. I used it on two dives about 50-60 ft. There was no moisture at all. The cannon cameras take excellent pictures underwater.

Great Enclosure for Canon SD790IS
the best ithem that you could by for a camera , i used every time that i go to dive and is amazing.. Great…
Took it on two 90-foot dives at Farnsworth Banks off Catalina Island. Worked great! I definitely recommend to READ THE DIRECTIONS for all details, especially 1. lubricating the gasket with provided silicone grease, 2. proper care, and 3. that you CAN change modes (underwater vs. beach) by holding down the print button and press left and right.
This WD-DC24 replaces a Canon WD-DC80 that went with the SD550, but it’s so nice that this DC24 is even thinner, possible by the yet-thinner SD790IS. The 790’s more sensitive sensor made several shots not possible with older cameras, while the DC24 kept a those atmospheres of water pressure out. Of course treat it gently and clean it right with freshwater per instructions and it’ll help you get those shots. I also store leftover desiccant (from other electronic shipments) inside it when not in use to keep the innards dry.
