Excellent case!
I bought this case for my 12-year-old son. We take our boat to the Florida Keys and the Bahamas regularly and he loves to snorkel wrecks and reefs.

Great Case
Well designed for the SD 1000 camera. All camera controls easily available through the hard plastic case. Simple to use.
This waterproof camera case worked flawlessly, the pictures came out good, but I wasn’t buying the case for picture quality. I was buying it to bring my camera underwater and in the water, which the case did an amazing job protecting my camera. I felt very confident brining it in the water and I was able to get pictures no one else had!!!
The addition of another lens type device alters your pictures slightly (it’s like taking a picture out a window). But hardly noticeable. The lens part of the case blocks a portion of flash and is evident in the dark.
I recommend this case to anyone wanting to take pictures underwater or in a rainy/wet place (for me it was Costa Rica).

Thank you Canon for creating a great product accessory for my new Canon SD1000 Digit Camera. What a great concept and I must say, it’s about time! Being a avid snorkeler and love for warm Hawaiian waters, I ordered the waterproof case for my SD1000 digital Canon camera through Amazon because of the great price. It arrived just days before our two-week Maui vacation! I took great underwater pictures with my Canon SD1000 while snorkeling in Maui and Lanai’i – green sea turtles, all kinds of tropical fish and plant life, but most of all, while snorkeling in Manele Bay, Lanai’i, I was able to get some great underwater photos of spinner dolphins just lying about on the bottom of the bay and spinning out of the water. Because I was able to utilize the zoom-in feature of my Canon SD1000, I was able to take some pretty great shots of the dolphins within 5 feet from me at the waterline and got a zoom-in shot of the 50-70 dolphins when they were just resting at the bottom of the bay (about 50-60 feet below me). No way could I have done this with a regular disposable waterproof camera. Mahalo (thank you) Canon, for making our Maui vacation a truly spectacular and memorable trip!

I recently bought this waterproof case for my Canon SD1000 and I absolutely LOVE it!!! I debated over it because of the price- but being able to take pictures and video underwater of the kids is PRICELESS to me!! It is so much fun to take to a waterpark to and not have to worry about damaging my new camera!! We just went to Myrtle Beach and I got some great video of the waves splashing over us and in the pool. Another great thing is that on the beach I don’t have to worry about getting sand in my camera lens as well!!

Canon Waterproof Case
The case was a perfect fit; easy to insert my camera; buttons lined up perfectly and was completely waterproof. It also took excellent underwater pics…no distortion or spots.

lives up to expectations!
Have only tried it while sailing in heavy weather between San Francisco and Carmel. No leaks detected and expect it to perform underwater when diving over Xmas.

I’ve only had the case for several weeks but I’ve used it at a lake and it’s awesome. The pictures come out clear and you have access to all of the cameras features (buttons)…

relatively cheap way to take underwater pictures
Well at this point it costs more for the waterproof case than for the camera itself. But for $300 you can have something to remember your dives with.
